What does a manual system consist of?

Step 1. drag portable generator to outside inlet location, and shut off main breaker in house panel.

Step 2. fill generator with fuel and manually pull the generator until it starts, then plug in generator cord.

Step 3. turn on backup circuits. (only the circuits that have been carefully selected)

Step 4. Wait for generator to run out of fuel complete steps 2 and 3 again or if power is restored unplug generator, turn main breaker on and put generator away until the next time needed.

What does an automatic system consist of?

NOTHING. yes you read that correctly with a automatic system you only have to make sure your fuel source is good and just carryon your normal activities.
